Stake.com Review (2026): Is It the Best Crypto Sportsbook?

Posted on June 2, 2022May 20, 2026 by Fred P.

Stake is the biggest name in crypto sports betting, and after months of hands-on testing with real BTC deposits, I can confirm the reputation is earned. It has the sharpest odds of any crypto sportsbook we’ve tested, the fastest withdrawals (under 2 minutes), and the deepest market coverage across 40+ sports. It’s our #1 overall pick. But it’s not perfect. Stake is geo-blocked in the US, UK, Australia, France, and Germany. It supports only 17 cryptocurrencies compared to 100+ on BC.Game. And there’s no dedicated mobile app. Here’s everything you need to know before signing up.

For context: we’ve reviewed every major Bitcoin sportsbook and Stake has held the #1 position since we started tracking. This isn’t a paid placement. It genuinely outperforms the competition on the metrics that matter most to bettors. That said, we’ll be upfront about where it falls short.

Stake Sportsbook Interface

Stake’s sportsbook interface: clean layout with deep market access across 40+ sports

Sign-Up & Deposit Process

Stake has one of the fastest onboarding processes we’ve tested. Here’s exactly what it looks like:

1

Create an account

Click “Register,” enter an email address and password. That’s literally it. No name, no phone number, no address, no ID upload. The whole form takes about 15 seconds.

2

Choose your deposit coin

Stake supports 17+ cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), Tron (TRX), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), EOS, and more. We recommend USDT on TRC-20 for the lowest fees and fastest confirmation. See our wallet guide.

3

Send crypto to your deposit address

Copy Stake’s deposit address, paste it into your wallet, and send. BTC confirms in 10-30 minutes. USDT on TRC-20 confirms in seconds. There’s no minimum deposit requirement for most coins.

4

Start betting

Once your deposit confirms, you’re ready. Browse 40+ sports, click any odds, set your stake, and confirm. No holds, no pending reviews, no “complete verification to continue” screens.

The total time from first visit to first bet was 73 seconds in our test (plus 12 minutes for BTC confirmation). If you use USDT on TRC-20, you can cut that confirmation time down to under 30 seconds. Compare that to 24-72 hours on regulated sportsbooks like DraftKings or Bet365 where full KYC is required before you can withdraw.

Odds Quality: The Real Differentiator

This is where Stake separates itself from every other crypto sportsbook. The odds are consistently tighter than any competitor we’ve tested.

We ran a structured comparison across 50 events over two months, checking moneyline prices on Stake against Cloudbet, BC.Game, Duelbits, and Thunderpick. Stake had the best price on 34 of the 50 events (68%). Cloudbet was second with the best price on 11 events (22%). The remaining three platforms rarely beat either on top-line markets.

The edge is most noticeable on high-volume sports: NFL, NBA, Premier League, Champions League, and major tennis tournaments. On lower-volume markets (think Belarusian Premier League or Taiwanese basketball), the differences between platforms shrink. But for the sports most bettors care about, Stake’s margins are the tightest available in crypto betting.

For bettors who also use traditional sportsbooks, Stake’s odds are competitive with Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange on many markets. That’s a significant statement for an offshore crypto platform.

💡 Why odds matter more than bonuses:

A 200% bonus sounds great, but you use it once. Better odds save you money on every single bet you place for as long as you use the platform. Over hundreds of bets, the compounding value of tighter margins far exceeds any one-time bonus. Stake’s edge here is its single biggest advantage.

Sports Coverage & Markets

Stake covers 40+ sports with deep markets on each. Here’s what we found during our testing:

Sport Coverage Level Markets Available
Football / Soccer ★★★★★ All major leagues (EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Liga MX, Brasileirão, MLS), Champions League, Europa League, international. Match result, correct score, BTTS, handicaps, player props, corners, cards.
NFL / American Football ★★★★★ Every regular season, playoff, and Super Bowl game. Moneyline, spread, totals, player props, alternate lines, first half, quarters, touchdown scorers.
NBA / Basketball ★★★★★ Every NBA game plus EuroLeague, NCAA, and 20+ international leagues. Moneyline, spread, totals, player props, quarters, alternative points.
Tennis ★★★★★ ATP, WTA, Grand Slams, Challengers. Match winner, set betting, game handicaps, total games, tie breaks.
UFC / MMA ★★★★★ Every UFC numbered event and Fight Night card. Moneyline, method of victory, round betting, fight props, distance.
Cricket ★★★★★ IPL, international Tests/ODIs/T20Is, BBL, CPL. Match winner, top batsman/bowler, session runs, ball-by-ball live.
NHL / Hockey ★★★★☆ Every NHL game, SHL, KHL, DEL, international. Moneyline, puck line, totals, period betting, player props.
MLB / Baseball ★★★★☆ Every MLB game, NPB, KBO. Moneyline, run line, totals, first five innings, player props.
Boxing ★★★★☆ All major cards. Moneyline, method of victory, round betting, fight props.
Esports ★★★☆☆ CS2, Dota 2, LoL, Valorant. Decent but Thunderpick goes deeper on map-level props.
Rugby ★★★★☆ Six Nations, Rugby Championship, Super Rugby, Top 14, Premiership. Match result, handicaps, totals, try scorers.
Formula 1 ★★★☆☆ Race winner, podium, fastest lap, head-to-head, constructor markets.
Golf ★★★☆☆ PGA Tour, European Tour, Majors. Outright, top 5/10/20, head-to-head matchups.

The coverage is comprehensive for any bettor who sticks to mainstream sports. Where Stake falls slightly short is on niche coverage: Thunderpick beats it on esports depth (especially map-level CS2 props and tier-2 tournaments), and some domestic leagues like the CFL or HBL handball have thinner markets than you’d find on a specialist platform. But for 95% of bettors, Stake covers everything you need with more depth than you’ll use.

Live Betting

Stake’s live betting is excellent. The interface is clean, odds update quickly, and bet placement is near-instant with no artificial delays.

During our testing we placed live bets on NFL, Premier League, NBA, and IPL matches. The experience was consistently smooth: odds refreshed in real time, bet confirmation took under a second, and we never had a bet rejected for stale odds (which happens frequently on some competitors). The live stats integration helps you make informed decisions without switching to a separate stats site.

One area where live betting shines on Stake is cricket. The ball-by-ball live betting during IPL matches is as deep as anything we’ve seen. Over-by-over lines, session runs, and next dismissal markets update after every delivery. If you bet on cricket, this alone is worth trying Stake.

Welcome Bonus & Promotions

Stake offers a 200% deposit match up to $1,000. Deposit $500 and receive $1,000 in bonus funds, bringing your total to $1,500.

Bonus Type

Maximum

Is the bonus the biggest? No. BC.Game offers 300% up to $20,000 and Cloudbet offers 100% up to 5 BTC. But remember: Stake’s real value is in its odds, not its bonus. The bonus is solid for the first deposit, but the tighter margins on every subsequent bet is where the long-term value lives. For a full comparison, see our best crypto bonuses page and our guide on how to leverage crypto bonuses.

Beyond the welcome bonus, Stake runs regular promotions: boosted odds on major events, daily races with prize pools, and a consistent reload bonus schedule. The promotions aren’t as frequent as Duelbits’ weekly cashback, but they’re decent and require no identity verification to claim.

Withdrawal Speed & Fees

This is Stake’s second biggest strength after odds quality. Withdrawals are the fastest we’ve tested across any crypto sportsbook.

Withdrawal Our Test Result
BTC withdrawal #1 1 min 42 sec
BTC withdrawal #2 2 min 11 sec
USDT (TRC-20) withdrawal #1 1 min 27 sec
USDT (TRC-20) withdrawal #2 47 sec
ETH withdrawal 3 min 08 sec
Processing fees Zero (Stake pays network fees)
Minimum withdrawal Varies by coin (very low)
KYC required? No (standard amounts)

Every withdrawal we processed landed in our wallet in under 5 minutes. The USDT TRC-20 withdrawals were the fastest at under 90 seconds. Stake covers the network transaction fee, so you pay nothing to withdraw. No other crypto sportsbook matched this speed during our testing. Cloudbet was close at 8-10 minutes, while Duelbits occasionally took up to 15.

We were never asked for any identity verification during withdrawals. No document upload screens, no “pending review” holds, no delays. For more details on the withdrawal process, see our deposit and withdrawal guide.

VIP Program & Rakeback

Stake’s VIP program is one of the better ones in crypto betting. It’s based on total wagering volume and includes several tiers with increasing benefits:

• Rakeback: A percentage of the house edge returned to you on every bet. Available from the lower VIP tiers and increases as you move up.

• Weekly bonuses: Based on your recent activity. Higher tiers receive larger weekly bonus amounts.

• Monthly bonuses: Additional bonus at the end of each month, scaling with VIP level.

• Level-up bonuses: One-time bonus each time you reach a new VIP tier.

• Dedicated VIP host: At higher tiers, you get a personal account manager for support and custom promotions.

The rakeback is the standout feature. On every bet you place, a small percentage of the house edge comes back to you. Over time, this adds up to meaningful value, especially for regular bettors. Combined with Stake’s already-tight odds, the effective margin you’re paying is among the lowest in the industry.

Interface & Mobile Experience

Stake’s interface is clean and functional. The dark colour scheme is easy on the eyes, the navigation is intuitive, and finding markets is straightforward. The bet slip works well, and placing parlays (accumulators) is as simple as clicking multiple odds and confirming.

That said, the interface is not the most polished in the industry. Cloudbet has a more modern feel on certain pages, and traditional sportsbooks like Bet365 have more refined UX after decades of iteration. Stake is perfectly functional and we never had any frustrations using it, but “beautiful” isn’t the word we’d use.

Mobile experience: There is no dedicated Stake app for iOS or Android. The sportsbook runs entirely in your mobile browser. The good news: the mobile site is well optimised and responsive. It works smoothly on both iPhone and Android, loads quickly, and all features are available. The lack of an app is a minor inconvenience (no push notifications for bet results, no home screen icon unless you add it manually), but the browser experience is solid enough that most users won’t mind. For more on mobile betting, see our mobile crypto betting guide.

Customer Support

Stake offers 24/7 live chat support. We tested it three times during our review period:

• Test 1 (deposit question): Connected to an agent in 2 minutes. Accurate answer. Resolved in one interaction.

• Test 2 (bonus terms): Connected in 4 minutes. Helpful explanation. Resolved.

• Test 3 (withdrawal delay question): Connected in 1 minute. Quick confirmation that withdrawal was processing normally. Resolved.

Support was responsive and competent across all three interactions. Agents understood the questions without needing multiple explanations, and none of the conversations felt scripted. It’s not Ritz-Carlton service, but it’s well above average for crypto platforms. Stake also has an active community forum and social media presence where questions get answered.

Where Is Stake Available?

Stake is accessible in most countries, but geo-blocks several major markets. Here’s the current status:

Country Access Our Guide
🇨🇦 Canada ✅ Accessible Canada guide
🇮🇳 India ✅ Accessible India guide
🇦🇷 Argentina ✅ Accessible Argentina guide
🇧🇷 Brazil ✅ Accessible Brazil guide
🇲🇽 Mexico ✅ Accessible Mexico guide
🇺🇸 United States ❌ Blocked US alternatives
🇬🇧 United Kingdom ❌ Blocked UK alternatives
🇦🇺 Australia ❌ Blocked Australia alternatives

If you’re in a blocked country, Cloudbet is our recommended alternative. It offers similarly tight odds and is accessible in most of the countries where Stake is blocked. See our Stake vs Cloudbet comparison for a detailed head-to-head.

Final Verdict

🏆 Our Rating: 4.9 / 5

Stake is the best crypto sportsbook available in 2026. The combination of the sharpest odds, the fastest withdrawals, and 40+ sports with deep markets makes it the clear #1 for any bettor who has access. The only reasons to use a competitor are geographic restrictions (if Stake is blocked in your country), wanting more altcoin variety (BC.Game), needing a larger welcome bonus (Cloudbet’s 5 BTC), or wanting deeper esports (Thunderpick). For everything else, Stake wins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Stake the best crypto sportsbook? +
Yes. After testing every major crypto sportsbook with real deposits over 6+ months, Stake ranks #1 on the metrics that matter most: odds quality, withdrawal speed, and market depth. It had the best price on 68% of events we compared. The main reasons to use a competitor are if Stake is blocked in your country, or if you need a specific feature Stake lacks (100+ altcoins on BC.Game, deeper esports on Thunderpick, or a larger bonus on Cloudbet).
Is Stake safe and legit? +
Stake has operated since 2017 with no major security breaches or payout controversies. It holds a Curaçao gaming licence and is operated by Medium Rare N.V. It’s one of the largest crypto gambling platforms in the world by volume. That said, it is not licensed by any major domestic regulator (UKGC, GGL, etc.), so you don’t have the same consumer protections you’d get from a regulated sportsbook. For more, see our crypto betting safety guide and security protocols guide.
Does Stake require identity verification? +
No. Stake requires only an email and password to sign up. No name, phone number, address, or ID upload. We signed up, deposited, bet, and withdrew multiple times without any verification request. Very large withdrawals may trigger a review, but standard-volume bettors are unlikely to encounter this. See our anonymous sportsbooks guide for more.
How fast are Stake withdrawals? +
Under 2 minutes in every test we ran. Our fastest was 47 seconds (USDT TRC-20). BTC withdrawals averaged around 1 min 50 sec. Stake covers the network fee, so you pay nothing. This is the fastest we’ve tested across any crypto sportsbook.
What countries is Stake blocked in? +
Stake is geo-blocked in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Germany (among others). If you’re in one of these countries, Cloudbet is our recommended alternative. Stake is accessible in Canada, India, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and most other countries.
What is Stake’s welcome bonus? +
Stake offers a 200% deposit match up to $1,000. It’s not the largest available (BC.Game has 300% up to $20,000, Cloudbet has 100% up to 5 BTC), but Stake’s real value is in its consistently better odds on every bet. For full bonus comparisons, see our best crypto bonuses page.
Does Stake have a mobile app? +
No. Stake does not have a dedicated iOS or Android app. The sportsbook runs in your mobile browser and is well optimised for both iPhone and Android. All features work on mobile, and the experience is smooth enough that most users won’t miss a native app. See our mobile crypto betting guide.
What cryptocurrencies does Stake accept? +
Stake accepts 17+ cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), Tron (TRX), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), EOS, and more. We recommend USDT on TRC-20 for the lowest fees and fastest confirmation. For more coin options, BC.Game accepts 100+ cryptos.
How does Stake compare to Cloudbet? +
Stake has better odds and faster withdrawals. Cloudbet has a larger bonus (5 BTC vs $1,000), more supported cryptos (30+ vs 17), and a longer track record (since 2013 vs 2017). Cloudbet is also accessible in countries where Stake is blocked (US, UK, AU, FR, DE). For the full breakdown, see our Stake vs Cloudbet comparison.
